AI Use Statement - Peter Albrecht

The graphic design in this portfolio is conceived and handcrafted by me. The ideas, visual systems, typography, composition and final design decisions are my own.

How I use AI

I use AI selectively as a supporting production tool, not as the author of the design. It may be involved in:

creating or extending showcase environments and mockups used to present finished work;
generating a specific supporting element—such as a tree for a Photoshop composition—which I then select, edit and integrate by hand;
work specifically requested by a client, where the use of AI is agreed in advance.

I review and edit everything published in this portfolio. When generative AI materially contributes to a displayed image, I disclose it.

Coding, automation and technical workflows

I also use AI assistants for coding and automation: prototyping practical tools, writing and reviewing scripts, automating repetitive production tasks, troubleshooting and extending web systems, and working with APIs, MCP, WordPress automation and agent-to-tool workflows. My toolkit includes ChatGPT, ComfyUI, Stable Diffusion, local language models and AI coding agents.

I direct, test and review this work and remain responsible for every tool, workflow and result I use or deploy.

My position

I generally oppose using generative AI to replace designers, artists or original creative work. My standard practice is human-led, hands-on design. AI remains limited to clearly defined supporting or technical tasks unless a client specifically asks otherwise.
